Chapter Update
The Chapter was able to rush and break a 20+ year record with an Associate Member Class that includes 24 individuals participating in the first activity last week. Congratulations to the Chapter. One of the catalysts for this amazing class was the newly completed renovation of the Chapter House. We hope you’ll stop by to check out the renovation and meet Chapter Members.
Fall Football Home Tailgates
As communicated in the previous update, the alumni/parent/active focused tailgates will be the Texas (9/17) and the Utah Homecoming (10/1) games. The Chapter will make sure that we can show off the remodel work at the house. Food and beverage quality will be increased. Alumni are asked to sponsor ($100/sponsorship) these games in exchange for free parking spot. The money will be used to ensure we have quality food available. So far we have the following sponsors:
- Texas (9/17): Scott Keller, Alan Arredondo, Freddy Fernandez, Nick Travaglini, 2 open spots
- Utah (10/1): Alan Arredondo, 5 open spots
We are still looking for more sponsors so please email us if you’d like to sponsor a game. Alumni Representatives that will be coordinating the tailgate and giving tours of the remodel are: Steve Pas, Board VP; Nick Travaglini, Chapter Advisor; Zach Brown, Previous Chapter Advisor.
Deftos/Chang/Schad Memorial Activity
Every semester we have a pledge activity where we meet at the Deftos Memorial Tree. Alumni and Active Chapter Members remember the contributions of these members and the sudden loss that was experienced by their passing. This year’s activity will be on Saturday, October 22. Plan is to meet at Free House (Bancroft/College) at 7pm with departure to the Deftos Memorial Tree at 8pm. If you are interested in attending please email us.
