Dear Fellow Gamma Alumnus,
As you know, Gamma Chapter is looking for a more involved and active alumni base to help the undergrad chapter be successful long-term. Four years ago we launched an alumni communications program to keep all Gamma alumni connected to the chapter. Our first year’s annual fund was a great success, receiving donations totaling $18,744. This helped offset our total cost of $11,500 for 2008. In 2011 we began to get back to that impressive level of support raising $8,560 from 42 donors (which was a little shy of our goal of 50). As our economy continues to improve, so too would we like to get back to the initial success we had in 2008. I invite you to please join me in supporting the Gamma Chapter to get us back to where we should be. Less important than the actual dollar amounts, once again our goal is to get to at minimum 50 donors. Your annual contribution is what allows us to maintain this program.
Thanks to your support we have been able put out the Gammazette, continue to improve our alumni database, and maintain our website. In addition, we used the actively maintained database to reach out to hundreds of alums in communicating our alumni events and updates, including our Founders’ Day celebration. If you did not receive any of this info we likely don’t have your email. Please take a second to sign up for email updates.
With these accomplishments in mind, the Pi Kappa Phi Alumni Association is hopeful that alumni like you will continue to prove to be willing to go the extra mile so we can meet our short-term and long-term goals. When you think of the Gamma Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, you think of your friends and brothers, the memories you share with them, and the experiences that prepared you for later challenges in life. I also know you realize that organizations like ours, made up of brothers, depend on those same brothers to fuel our success.
Your contribution of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or anything you feel is within your means will keep our current alumni program active and allow us eventually to create an educational endowment.
Thanks in advance. Please remember, without you, we cannot succeed!
Fraternally,
Juan Serrano ’91
