Chapter Update
Fall Semester has gotten off to a good start. The Chapter just concluded formal Fall rush with a bid night dinner of 15 pledges. The Chapter has once again done a great job of recruitment.
Nevada vs Cal, 9/4 @ 7:30 pm
The Chapter will be coordinating parking starting at 3:30 pm for Saturday night’s game against Nevada. The University is enforcing that no Fraternity can host an event greater than 49 people without completing Social Risk Training and applying for an Indoor Entertainment Event from the Berkeley Fire Department. Therefore the Chapter will not be able to host a pre-game tailgate. The Chapter House will be open with just Brothers hanging out pregame. You’re welcome to stop by to either park or visit on your way into the game.
Homecoming Weekend (Fri, 10/1 and Sat, 10/2)
As previously communicated, we will be doing Deftos/Chang/Schad Memorial Activity on Friday, 10/1 at 8 pm. The activity brings together alumni/actives to educate the new members about how precious and short life can be by remembering three brothers from different eras that were taken too soon from us. Alumni meet at Freehouse (College/Bancroft) between 6:30-7 pm. Post activity, the Chapter hosts an alumni/active mixer where alumni can get to know Members better.
The Chapter and the Alumni Association are coordinating a pre-game Alumni/Active tailgate before our Homecoming game vs WSU on Saturday, 10/2. Game time is still TBD. Depending on kickoff, we will be planning to start the pre-game tailgate 2-3 hrs before kickoff. We would like to invite alumni/friends to stop by the House on the way to the game or drive up and park in the lot.
